Why not ask if someone knows how to do what you’d like to do?

I for one would like to know how big my trash is, just like back in OS 9.

What’s Time Machine up to?

Enter this as a Shell command: grep backupd /var/log/system.log | sed s_/System/Library/CoreServices/__g | tail -n 3

This last number is the number of lines of the status you want to see (3 in this case).

Geektool is fantastic. I mean really great. If you haven’t got hold of it, then get it from here.
There are a lot of snippets out on the web about making it great, and getting it to do great things for you. There are screenshots of what people have done, but they don’t often say how they’ve done it. Let’s fix all this.
So this site is about showing what you can do, and telling the world how you did it using Geektool.
